Justin Bieber has voiced his concern for the bloodshed in Israel and Palestine.
The singer posted on his Instagram that he was ‘praying for Israel’ and included a photo from the warfront, according to The Daily Beast.
However, unfortunately for him, the image that he used was from the Associated Press and it showed a destroyed section of the Gaza Strip.
He quickly deleted the image and uploaded another ‘praying for Israel’ story but with a plain background.
Bieber also wrote in a separate post: “To vilianize [sic] all Palestinians or all Israeli people to me seems wrong.
“I’m not interested in choosing sides, but I am interested in standing with the families who have been brutally taken from us.”
While he might have taken it down quickly, some of his near 300 million followers clocked it.
One viewer said on Twitter/X: “Just embarrassing. If you don’t know what you’re talking about, then don’t talk at all.”
Another added: “Justin Bieber posting ‘praying for israel’ using a picture of a destroyed Gaza is actually insane.”
A third wrote: “This just shows that most celebrities literally have NO idea what they’re supporting/posting/talking about.”
There have been plenty of people who have spoken out about the devastating situation that has been unfolding since the weekend.
Hamas terrorists launched a coordinated attack on Israel on Saturday and Sunday.
They opened fire on multiple locations, took hostages, killed hundreds of people, and injured thousands more.
The death toll stands at at least 1,200, according to CNN, and Israel has retaliated in full force.
The Israeli Defence Force has fired multiple airstrikes on Gaza, which have destroyed buildings, reduced neighborhoods to rubble and killed hundreds of people.
Hundreds of thousands in Gaza have been displaced by the missile strikes.
When the attacks first erupted at the weekend, Kylie Jenner posted a message of support for Israel.
The post in question was from the Instagram account @standwithus, which included the flag of Israel and the following caption: “Now and always, we stand with the people of Israel.”
However, much like Bieber, she deleted the Story pretty fast.
Similarly, Jamie Lee Curtis posted a photo on Instagram from the conflict and wrote ‘terror from the skies’ as the caption.
However, it was revealed that the image she uploaded was Palestinian children in Gaza.
She took the post down not too long after.
