When Steve Harvey’s youngest daughter, Lori Harvey, began dating People’s Sexist Man Alive, Michael B. Jordan, fans and onlookers were in a frenzy. It seemed that everywhere Steve Harvey turned, questions about his daughter and her love life were at the ready.

Steve Harvey went off script during Family Feud for a very emotional reason.

When he appeared on Ellen DeGeneres and took a seat next to the queen of flawless segues, Steve Harvey was unexpectedly shown a picture of Lori that he’d never seen before.

By the looks of it, the picture was likely from Michael B. Jordan’s or Lori Harvey’s Instagram. Either way, however, Steve Harvey figuratively shifted in his seat as soon as the photo appeared on the teleprompter. “Look at that. That’s happening in front of you?” Ellen asked the Family Feud host. He obviously hadn’t: “I’ve never seen that picture before.” Harvey said. (Insert awkward pause and lengthy chuckle from Ellen.) “I’m very uncomfortable with that picture right now.”

Despite Steve Harvey being put in the hot seat by Ellen, he took it all on the chin, making the exchange a comical one.

Since the ranking will now change (i.e. youngest sibling, middle sibling, oldest sibling), Steve introduced “accountability partners” where he gives the two oldest of the clan different responsibilities than those of the youngest ones. The goal of this is for them to serve as role models while bonding in the process.

Steve Harvey always said that things were going to be hard for both Lori and Michael B. Jordan.

To this day, Steve Harvey’s love for all of his children is abundantly clear. Even as he’s shown never-before-seen photos of them that he probably would’ve preferred not seeing in his lifetime.
