Mariah Carey, the iconic vocalist known for her 5-octave voice range and a string of hits that have defined decades, has always been one to captivate public.

It’s no surprise that her twins, Moroccan and Monroe, inherited a bit of that fame by default.

As they have grown older, their goals and personalities have come into limelight, and like any parent, Carey has been protective and discerning about their focus to the limelight.

Not so far, news surfaced about Nick Cannon’s idea of forming a band with his children. The concept appear innovative – an opportunity for his kids to bond and potentially pave their way in the entertainment industry.

Given Cannon’s history in music and television, it seem to be a feasible decision that could bring forth a unique blend of talent.

Carey’s daughter, Monroe, was her 1st born.

The “Obsessed” vocalist wrote in her 2020 memoir, “The Meaning of Mariah Carey,” that she wanted both of her kids to share her initials.

She marked that her daughter’s moniker was inspired by Marilyn Monroe; but, Carey refers to her as Roe. (Unlike Moroccan, Monroe doesn’t have an amid name.)

Much like her mother, the youngster evidenced she has a set of pipes when she performed “Always Be My Baby” onstage in Los Angeles in 2017.

In a 2023 interview on the “Howie Mandel Does Stuff” podcast, Cannon found the twins as “so intelligent” and “in tune with their own values.”

“It’s my 1st time having 12-year-olds, and I have a set of them! And we’re having real conversations,” he said.

“Because, you know, their lives are long from normal. Their mother is one of the biggest entertainers to ever live — and their father is me.”
