Fans are speculating that it could lead to another reunion from the pop group

Kian Egan has teased fans about a possible Westlife reunion next year.

On Tuesday the singer posted a photo of the four band members smiling and enjoying pints of Guinness together – sending fans wild with excitement. Band member Mark Feehily revealed last December that he had been diagnosed with pneumonia, causing him to miss some major gigs with Westlife as they continued their Wild Dreams tour without him.

But now both Kian and the band’s official Instagram page are hinting that a possible homecoming reunion with Mark could be on the cards. In the photo shared online, Kian, Mark, Shane Filan and Nicky Byrne are wearing similar tie dye T-shirts, jeans and white runners – with the caption reading: “Us having a St Patrick’s Day Special.

“Could this be a little clue for something very exciting we’re announcing next week? Keep your eyes peeled to find out.”

Westlife fans will have to wait until next week to hear what the big announcement is all about but many have already started speculating that an Irish date could be planned for St Patrick’s Day in 2024. Earlier this year Mark told fans on Instagram that “under doctor’s orders” an unnamed surgery “needs to happen sooner rather than later and will also require some recovery time throughout the summer”.

Now fans are already planning on visiting Ireland just to see the band –with one overseas writing on Instagram: “If this is a concert in Ireland. I am definitely flying over and we are going!”

Another fan speculated that the news could be about a DVD release from their latest Wembley concert, writing: “OMG !! The DVD from Wembley concert? The 25th tour in 2024? Okaaayyy boys now I’m anxious with this announcement hahahaha!” The chart-topping man band have not played in their home country since 2022, when they performed at Dublin ’s New Year’s Eve festival.
