Rihanna wanted fairytale-like love life

Singer Rihanna is said to be extremely disappointed that her romance with rapper Drake ended in disaster, especially as she always desired a “fairytale” love life.

“All she wanted was the fairytale, you know, the sh*t he (Drake) promised her but again, epic fail,” said a source close to the 26-year-old, reports showbizspy.com.

When in a relationship, the singer doesn’t expect being pampered with gifts. A true and faithful lover is all she wanted.

“She likes him but it’s hard when a man tells his girl that they have to pump the breaks on the relationship so that he can go out there and grind.

“It’s not like Rihanna asks him to buy her anything. It’s all good though. She will learn at the end of the day,” added the source.

The on-again, off-again couple, who rekindled their relationship in February after briefly dating in 2009, have allegedly called off their romance after a series of arguments.

A source told UsMagazine.com, “Rihanna and Drake had another fight. He is too in love with her, which has always been the problem. They have been fighting, but that could all change any day now. It is how it always is with them.”

Another source said they were “currently on yet another break”.

The Stay hitmaker, 26, and the 27-year-old Hold On, We’re Going Home singer had been inseparable in recent months and friends insisted last month that they “were always meant to be together”.

One insider said, “They got on so well and have always had a special connection from the moment they met … and now they have found each other again, everyone just feels like this is it.

“Their friends are so happy that they’re together. There’s a real feeling among their inner circle that they were always meant to be together. They really are made for one another. Everyone knows it. And Drake could not be happier. They couldn’t be better suited.”

The pair were first spotted out together when Rihanna joined Drake at Soixante Dix Neuf nightclub in Paris in February, shortly after the rapper admitted she was his dream girl.

He said, “I mean, I think about it. Like, ‘Man that would be good.’ We have fun together. She’s cool. But we’re just friends. That’s my dog for life.”
