People spot key detail in Miley Cyrus’ speech as she accepts her first-ever Grammys
Music fans have called attention to one particular detail about Miley Cyrus’ speech after the pop star got on stage to accept one of her first-ever Grammy awards.
Cyrus entertained fans multiple times at the awards ceremony in Los Angeles last night (4 February); first as she performed her hit song ‘Flowers’, and second as she accepted two awards for it.

The 31-year-old won her first Grammy in the category of Best Pop Solo Performance before returning to the stage a to collect the award for Record Of The Year.
Having made history in her career by collecting her first Grammys, Cyrus used the opportunity not only to praise her fellow artists and people of the world in general, but also to give a shoutout to the people who had helped to get her there.

But I really hope that it doesn’t change anything because my life was beautiful yesterday. Not everyone in the world will get a Grammy, but everyone in this world is spectacular.
“So please don’t think that this is important, even though it’s very important, right guys?”
The singer then went on to thank those who helped make ‘Flowers’ happen, including shouting out her mom, her sister, her ‘love’ and her ‘main gays’.
“Anyone else? … I don’t think I forgot anyone. But I might have forgotten underwear. Bye!,” Cyrus said, before walking off.
Though the singer insisted she hadn’t forgotten anyone, music fans noticed that there appeared to be one person in particular who didn’t feature in Cyrus’ speech.

It’s unclear whether Cyrus specifically chose to omit her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, from the speech, but fans were quick to pick up on it amid a number of other rumors circulating about the family.
Billy Ray and Cyrus’ mom, Tish, announced their divorce in April 2022 after nearly 30 years of marriage, with Tish having since gone on to marry Prison Break star Dominic Purcell.
Fans noticed that only Cyrus, as well as Tish’s two children from a previous relationship, seemed to be at the wedding, despite Billy Ray and Tish also being parents to Cyrus’ sister, Noah, and brother, Braison.
Tish and her other daughter, Brandi, were apparently the only members of the family in attendance at the Grammys as Cyrus won her first award there.
UNILAD has contacted representatives for Cyrus for comment.
