Bobbie Jean died from intoxication by the combined effects of fentanyl and methamphetamine, the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner’s Office in Florida confirms to Page Six.

The medical examiner’s report notes that the manner of death was accidental and a result of drug abuse.

TMZ was the first to report the news.

Bobbie Jean died in December 2023. She was 41.

Her mother, Jane Carter, released a statement at the time sharing that she was “in shock” over her daughter’s “sudden death.”

“I will need time to process the terrible reality of this happening for the third time,” she said, referring to the deaths of Aaron in 2022 from drowning and his sister Leslie Carter in 2012 from a drug overdose.

“When I am able to think clearly, I’ll release a fuller statement; but until then I would request to be left to grieve in private,” Jane added.

“However deeply a parent feels the loss of a child, the suffering of a young child at the loss of a parent must be much greater.”

The mom of five concluded her message by asking fans to say a prayer for her granddaughter Bella, who had lost both parents.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Page Six days after Bobbie Jean’s death that she had been found unresponsive in her bathroom, which was the same scene in which the “Aaron’s Party” crooner was discovered.

She was rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Bobbie Jean had been on probation following her June 2023 arrest for retail theft and drug possession, at which time she was found with a container of fentanyl.

Authorities, however, stated that her roommates insisted she had not used drugs since her release from prison.
