Kate Middleton reportedly caters to Prince William “like a fourth child.”

A source who worked in Kensington Palace alleged to royal author Tom Quinn that the Princess of Wales, 41, treats her husband, 40, the same way she does their three kids – George, 9, Charlotte, 8, and Louis, 5.

“Kate treats him [William] like the fourth child because he’s prone to tantrums,” the source alleged to Quinn, per Express.co.uk.

The author claimed that the couple “do have rows,” adding that their marriage isn’t perfect.

“They have terrific rows. But, where some couples have a row and throw heavy vases at each other, William and Kate throw cushions at each other. It’s always kept under control.”

Quinn, who wrote “Gilded Youth: An Intimate History of Growing Up in the Royal Family,” also noted that William and Middleton exemplify the late Queen Elizabeth Ii’s mantra: “Never complain, never explain.”

“Because William adopts the manners and ways of behaving of his grandmother, and Kate is very good at not complaining, both of them have stuck to the thing that made Queen Elizabeth II such a remarkable monarch,” Quinn went on.

“They very rarely complain, and when they do, it’s always in measured terms.”

While William may be the future king, his younger brother, Prince Harry, continues to dominate headlines these days.

The Duke of Sussex and his wife, Meghan Markle, found themselves in a “near-catastrophic” car chase with New York City paparazzi last week.

In response, one of Prince William’s pals mocked the couple for speaking out about the scary incident.

“It’s not a perfect marriage. They have terrific rows,” the royal expert claimed.

“William and [Middleton] have put up with s–t like this in the past,” the anonymous friend told the Daily Beast last week.

“Everyone understands [Harry’s] anger at the photographers, but making hysterical statements doesn’t help matters, especially when, as the Queen might have said, recollections may vary,” they went on.

The Prince of Wales’ close confidant also criticized the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for attending the Women of Vision Awards that night, which led to the apparent car chase.

However, he insisted the couple’s fights don’t get nasty.

“I thought they were leaving the royal family for a quieter life,” the friend noted.

“If flashbulbs give Harry flashbacks, I don’t understand why he is going to award ceremonies.”

Others held the opposite opinion, including Gayle King, who said she found it “troubling” that people were “downplaying” the two-hour paparazzi chase her pals were involved in.

“William and Kate throw cushions at each other. It’s always kept under control,” Quinn claimed.

As previously reported, the British royal, 38, and the “Suits” alum, 41, were “extremely upset and shaken” after trying to flee from photographers for two hours in Manhattan. The two were accompanied by Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, and we’re told neither William nor King Charles lll reached out to the California-based couple following news of the chase.

In a statement, a rep for the couple said the “relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD officers.

“While being a public figure comes with a level of interest from the public, it should never come at the cost of anyone’s safety.”
