Jason Kelce had nothing but praise for Taylor Swift as he hailed her a ‘role model’ and defended the NFL’s decision to showcase her in their broadcasts.

The Philadelphia Eagles center spoke with WCPO 9 while preparing for the Pro Bowl Games and discussed Swift’s impact on the NFL since dating his brother Travis. In a clip that was later shared on X, Kelce raved about Swift’s success and positive effect on younger women.

‘I think that the NFL would probably be foolish not to, you know, show her and be a role model for all the young girls out there,’ Kelce said.

‘She’s a world star, she’s the quintessential, you know, artist right now in the world,’ Kelce added while describing the 12-time Grammy winner as an ‘immensely talented’ artist and an ‘unbelievable role model for young women across the globe.’

Since dating Travis, Swift has been to 12 Chiefs games, and is expected to be at the Super Bowl for her 13th. Swift is reportedly planning to fly from a concert in Tokyo the evening before to support the Chiefs in Las Vegas.

A huge fraction of Swift’s fanbase flooded into the Chiefs’ as they began tuning in and attending live games, hoping to get a glimpse of their idol.

Swift then became a staple at Kansas City games as the broadcasts leaned on her in-game reactions throughout the Chiefs’ run to the Super Bowl.

‘The attention’s there because the audience wants to see it, I mean, if people didn’t want to see it they wouldn’t be showing it, I know that,’ Kelce said.

Kelce’s most recent comments were not the first time he celebrated Swift’s relationship with Travis and impact on the Chiefs.

He previously referred to the popstar as the ‘newest member’ of the Chiefs on an episode of the New Heights podcast. Kelce then proceeded to say Swift ‘officially reached the Super Bowl in her rookie year.’

The Chiefs will look to win their second straight title against the San Francisco 49ers on February 11.
