The potential sale of Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes this summer would leave Roy Keane in a furious mood.
The United captain has scored 79 goals and contributed a further 66 assists since arriving in England as his consistent production on both the club and international stage has seen him become a target for Paris Saint-Germain who reportedly “really appreciate” the midfielder with Jadon Sancho also a rumoured target for the French champions, according to L’Equipe.
Fernandes’ potential departure will not only upset a huge chunk of United supporters but club legend Roy Keane too who credited the Portugal international for turning the fortunes of the club around following his fast start to life in Manchester.
Fernandes scored 12 goals in 22 games in the first six months of his United career as his arrival led the club to a 14-match unbeaten streak in the second half of the season which saw them finish third in the Premier League and clinch Champions League qualification.
Speaking in the first month of Fernandes’ career in Manchester, Keane said: “I think the signs have been a lot better over the last month or so, obviously Fernandes coming in, I think they’re building a little bit of momentum. So I think the feel-good factor is definitely coming back to United.”

Prior to the FA Cup final this past May, Fernandes hinted at a possible departure from United when he said: “I will be here until… I said the club needs to want me. I feel that the club wants me to be a part of the future, so, as I said always, I don’t want to be a player that the club doesn’t want to have.
“If for some reason they don’t want to have me, I will go, but if they want me I will stay.”
