Manchester United will be able to give Leny Yoro the perfect welcome if his move to Old Trafford is finalised over the coming days. The Red Devils are believed to be closing in on a deal to sign the defender in spite of interest from Real Madrid.
Yoro is reportedly travelling to England for a medical and to discuss personal terms after Lille accepted a bid worth up to £59million. He is set to become United’s second summer signing after the arrival of Joshua Zirkzee, who officially joined from Bologna earlier this week.
Real Madrid are still believed to be keen on landing Yoro, with the Spanish giants not giving up hope of convincing him to move to the Bernabeu. However, it seems United are poised to beat them to his signature with Yoro likely to be available for their pre-season tour in Los Angeles.

If the move goes ahead as expected, Yoro could be given the ideal welcoming gift by United in the form of a familiar shirt number. He has been wearing the No 15 at Lille, which is currently vacant at Old Trafford after Sergio Reguilon returned to Tottenham at the end of his loan spell.
Alternatively, the No 4 shirt worn by Sofyan Amrabat last season is available to be inherited by Yoro if he decides he wants a change. It may, however, be reserved for a new holding midfielder with United believed to be targeting reinforcements in the engine room.
