At last, Princess Kate is back with her beloved children at Adelaide Cottage. She will be there for a while to heal from surgery on her abdomen. From what Kensington Palace said, the Princess of Wales left the hospital on Monday and is “making good progress.”

It has been kept secret who else has visited the hospital besides William and when. There have been rumors that the media made a deal with the royal family not to take pictures or camp outside the hospital. Also, it’s still not clear if George, Charlotte, and Louis ever went to see their mother.

Princess Daniela Elser thinks that is a very strange thing to say. The royal expert writes an opinion piece in which he or she asks whether the royal family did the right thing and points out something that everyone else seems to have missed.

Kensington Palace said on Monday that the Princess of Wales was sent home from The London Clinic.

She is now back at home after having surgery on her stomach.

She will now get better at her home with Prince William, Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, and spend time with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

“The Princess of Wales has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery. She is making good progress,” Kensington Palace said in a statement released Monday. “The Prince and Princess wish to say a huge thank you to the entire team at The London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided.”

The statement went on to say, “The Wales family continues to be grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world.”

“Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter.”

Prince William has been to see Kate almost every day since her surgery. News reports also said that her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, had come to see her.

After the fact, though, sources told several news sites that they hadn’t. Emily Nash, the royal reporter for Hello Magazine, says that the Princess of Wales has instead used her phone to FaceTime call her kids.

“Kate loves FaceTiming the children when she is working away overseas, so I’m sure they will be in regular contact while she’s in hospital, and the kids will be keen to see her as soon as she’s well enough,” Emily Nash, Editor of Hello Royal, told Express.

William and Kate were helped by Maria Borrallo, the family maid

“Both William and Kate are very hands-on parents – they take the kids to school, attend sports matches and concerts and try to be home for bedtime as much as they can. While Kate is in hospital, William will be at home keeping things as normal as possible.”

It has been very helpful that Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo has been taking care of William and Kate’s kids while she has been away. She has always been very helpful to the Prince and Princess of Wales, of course. But more than ever, William probably felt better when Borrallo was around.

Since 2014, Maria Borrallo has been with William and Kate. The babysitter took care of George when he was only eight months old.

“She is not married and doesn’t have a boyfriend, as her life is totally dedicated to the family she is working with. She is known for being totally professional – married to the job,” an insider told Hello Magazine.

Borrallo went to the well-known Norland College in Bath to learn his craft. She makes all the decisions about the kids at home, following what William and Kate have said they want.

A person close to the royal family has said in the past, “Maria is firm, but she never acts unilaterally with the children on discipline. Kate and William, along with Maria, are strict with the children but have this magic ability to appear not to be.”

Louis, Charlotte, and George are “in good steady hands”

Kensington Palace said this about Maria when they hired her: “Maria is a full-time nanny who started work with us recently and will be accompanying the Duke and Duchess and Prince George to New Zealand and Australia. We will not be giving further details on Maria or her employment, except to say that the Duke and Duchess are, of course, delighted she has chosen to join them.”

Even after Kate gets back to Windsor, sees her kids again, and is able to help with some chores, Barallos’ help will still be greatly valued. She stopped living in the same house when the family moved from Kensington Palace to Adelaide Cottage. She does, however, live in a different house just around the corner.

In an interview with Hello Magazine, parenting expert Jo Frost said that Maria is very important to William, Kate, and their kids.

“The blessing of her nurturing ways and wonderful service to the family leave the children in good steady hands, affording William the flexibility to be present as a father, attend to his royal duties where he can at home and be the emotional support he will want to be for his wife,” she said.

Richard Fitzwilliams, a royal expert, told the Daily Mail that Kate needs to “rest as much as she can” after her surgery. This means that Maria will be needed “a great deal” in the coming weeks or months.

“‘There is going to be very considerable speculation as to when William is able to resume royal duties. Obviously, especially given the temporary incapacity of King Charles, the sooner the better. This makes Maria’s contribution at this difficult time all the more invaluable,” Fitzwilliams said.

Maria Borello is reportedly “extremely popular”

The royal expert went on to say that he hoped Kate would get better soon. There will, however, be a long “convalescence.”

“William will be with her and forgoing royal duties for as long as he feels it is necessary. He has always put his family first. Kate has been as hands-on a mother as her role permits, but she has said that having a nanny is indispensable.”

He talked some more about Maria, the nanny, saying that she was a great fit for the family.

“Maria Teresa is, according to reports, extremely popular with the children but her training at Norland has meant she is ideal for whatever this role requires. She is of course a background figure, who is seen at some important royal occasions and who is indispensable at a time like this. Her training at the prestigious Norland College in Bath where she learnt a huge variety of skills and to work long hours if needed, will be particularly useful during the pivotal weeks of Catherine’s recovery,” Richard Fitzwilliams told the Daily Mail.

“The coming weeks may be difficult and will be a test of this redoubtable figure, who is so trusted by the future King and Queen.”

It’s never fun to stay in a hospital, but Kate seems to have had the best experience at The London Clinic in terms of facilities.

People say that Prince William went to see his wife every day. But Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are said to not have seen her since they had school and other things to do. But they are said to have stayed in touch with their mom through FaceTime.

Royal questions an expert Kate and William about whether their kids will go to the hospital or not

Kate Middleton wasn’t seen when she went into or out of the London Clinic. The same thing would likely happen if her parents or even George, Charlotte, and Louis were there to greet their adored mother.

When it comes to the hospital, no one knows if the three royal children spent time with Kate or even just said hello. This worries royal expert Daniela Elser.

The royal expert has written a new article on News.com.au about something that everyone at the hospital seems to have missed: the chance that George, Charlotte, and Louis didn’t get to see their mother, and whether that was a good idea.

Daniela Elser talked about the British newspapers The Sun and The Daily Mail, which said that William saw Kate at the hospital but didn’t say anything about the “kidlets.”

At the same time, Rebecca English, the royal editor of the Daily Mail, said that the media “have agreed not to have photographers [outside the hospital], not to have camera crews, not to have journalists, to allow [Kate] to recuperate from her operation in privacy and also to respect the privacy of the other patients.”

Elser says that it would have been simple for William to “easily ferry” George, Charlotte, and Louis to and from the hospital without having to deal with reporters and photographers.

“Is that better than getting a hug from their mother?”

“One possible explanation for the young Waleses staying away came via the Sun, which reported that ‘William and Kate want her absence to feel as normal as possible for the youngsters’. And Monday to Friday, that’s entirely buyable and reasonable. But – and here we have a double, treble underlined ‘but’ in bold – what about the weekend just past?” Elser wrote for News.com.au.

“Still, they did not go, instead doing some (I’m assuming) bucolic gambolling about their “doting” Middleton grandparents’ $7 million place in Bucklebury, according to the Sun.”

The royal expert continued, “Which is sweet and all, and Carole and Michael can ‘dote’ all they want, proffering forth as many sticky buns, sweet treats, and gloriously gloopy ice creams as they can find, but is that better than getting a hug from their mother?”

Princess Daniela Elser said she could see why no child ““wants to see a parent in a hospital bed” because it could be “scary and upsetting.” She did, however, ask if Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis would have liked to see their mother and get lots of love from her anyway.

“As a royal aide told the Sunday Times’ Roya Nikkhah last week, William and Kate’s new motto as they face her health situation is, ‘100 percent family first, day job second.’ Does that gel with the kids not be taken to see Kate?” Elser concluded.
