Travis Kelce believes that skeptical NFL fans are starting to warm up to his relationship with Taylor Swift, despite their initial reservations and complaints throughout the season.

During an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Wednesday, the Kansas City Chiefs’ standout agreed with host Pat McAfee’s observation that many people are beginning to recognize the authenticity of his romance with Swift.

“At first, a lot of football fans doubted its sincerity,” McAfee noted. “But now, it seems like people are acknowledging that Travis is not just a phenomenal football player — he’s also genuinely in love!”

“It’s a beautiful thing, isn’t it?” responded Kelce, 34, emphasizing that he and Swift, also 34, are simply two individuals in a relationship, supporting each other and enjoying the journey.

While Kelce hinted at his affection for Swift during the radio interview, their love was publicly evident when they exchanged “I love you’s” following the Chiefs’ victorious game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Despite facing criticism from football enthusiasts over Swift’s visible presence at Kelce’s games, the couple remains unfazed. Despite the “Cruel Summer” singer averaging less than 25 seconds of screen time per game, the pair has been subject to backlash.

Inside Taylor Swift's Latest Unbelievable Year

Nevertheless, Kelce reaffirms their commitment to maintaining normalcy in their relationship, regardless of attempts to vilify them.

“We simply embrace it and cherish every moment,” stated the tight end. “I love having Taylor support me at games and share the experience with our family and friends. It’s been a fantastic year.”

Swift, who began dating the NFL star during the summer, has attended 12 of Kelce’s games this season, often accompanied by his parents and closest childhood friends.

Their circle expanded when Swift met Kelce’s older brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Kylie Kelce, at a game earlier this month.

The group plans to reunite on February 11 to cheer on the Chiefs as they compete against the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl, despite Swift having a concert scheduled across the globe the night before.

Although the Super Bowl is still two weeks away, there’s already murmuring among some NFL fans regarding Swift’s anticipated presence at the game. However, Kelce dismisses the negativity, noting that Swift is accustomed to enduring criticism throughout her career.

Despite the couple’s nonchalance towards the negative attention, Kelce admitted elsewhere in the episode that the increased media scrutiny has been an entirely new experience for him.

“From dealing with paparazzi on a daily basis to constantly being in the spotlight, whether it’s sports-related or not, it’s been an unexpected whirlwind,” he reflected. “But I’m enjoying the ride, and most of the world seems to be enjoying it too — except for the cranky NFL fans who just don’t want to see the Chiefs win… but we’re slowly winning them over.”
