Shaquille O’Neal, aged 51, met Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl on Sunday

just two days after he told Page Six, “I just want to shake the hand of greatness.”

Shaq's Dream Come True: Meeting Taylor Swift at the Super Bowl

“If I see Taylor Swift and get to shake her hand, take a picture, I’ll be good,” the retired NBA star said at Shaq’s Fun House Super Bowl party. “She’s a great person. I’m happy for her. I’m proud of her. She’s done a lot. She’s definitely someone everyone knows.”

His wish came true as he found Swift, aged 34, who was at the game to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce from the Kansas City Chiefs. They took a photo together inside Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

On Instagram, O’Neal mentioned that he and Jamie Salter gifted Swift an NFL-themed Judith Lieber bag. Salter also posted about it, saying, “Hope you love the @judithleiberny bag. Go KC.”

There was uncertainty about whether O’Neal would meet Swift until Saturday when Gracie Hunt, the daughter of Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, confirmed Swift’s attendance to PEOPLE.

After finishing four shows in Tokyo from Feb. 7 to Feb. 10, Swift flew back to the United States for the Super Bowl. After the game, she will head to Australia for seven shows in Melbourne and Sydney from Feb. 16-26.

This Super Bowl marks Swift’s 13th time attending a Chiefs game (13 is her favorite number). The Chiefs have won nine of those games.
