Each fighter has recorded three wins against the other but the stakes are now set to be much higher – with the WBC super-lightweight belt on the line.
Haney, also known as ‘The Dream’, won the title back in December 2023 after beating Regis Prograis. Garcia has since criticised Prograis for his performance, claiming he would ‘knock him out within three rounds’ if they fought.
Meanwhile, the ‘King’ Garcia is yet to win a world title after being knocked out by Gervonta Davis in the seventh round during his first attempt back in April 2023.
As tension builds ahead of the fight, here are all the details you need to know.
