PHOTOS appear show to bruises suffered by Angelina Jolie after she was allegedly assaulted on a private jet by Brad Pitt.

Shock pictures, first published by PageSix, were allegedly included in an report on the incident by the FBI.

The contents of the file have been widely reported by US media, including by NBC and Rolling Stone.

The two world famous movie stars separated in 2016 after a 12-year relationship which saw them become a Hollywood super couple dubbed “Brangelina”.

It is understood the fight on the jet was allegedly the final straw that triggered the collapse of their marriage.

Sources close to the actor question the timing of the release of the documents – and allege Jolie has had access to them for six years.

And the FBI report concludes there was no basis to bring charges against Pitt.

“Brad didn’t behave great that day – he has had issues with alcohol and he has addressed it,” a source told The Sun Online.

“No one is defending what happened there, but there is no benefit to the family to bring up these documents from six years ago.”

Jolie told cops that Pitt – who had been drinking – screamed at her in the toilet aboard the flight back to the states from Nice, France.

It is alleged the Fight Club actor pushed her into the bathroom wall and grabbed her head and shoulders, before yelling: “You’re f***ing up this family”.

Two of their young children – whose names have reportedly been redacted in the report – were “outside the door crying” and asked “are you okay mommy?” Angelina reportedly said in the docs.

“No, mommy’s not OK. She’s ruining this family. She’s crazy,” Pitt reportedly yelled back to the kids, reports PageSix.

And one the children allegedly replied to him, “It’s not her, it’s you, you p***k.”

Jolie claims Pitt then rushed towards the children “like he was going to attack” – only for her to grab him and put him a choke hold.

He then allegedly shoved her back into the chairs behind them.

The Maleficent actress claims she suffered injuries to elbow and back following the incident and shared the pictures with the FBI.

Handwritten notes from Jolie and allegedly her children containing descriptions of the incident are allegedly included in the files.

Other incidents aboard the flight also saw Pitt allegedly pour beer on her and say one of their children “looking like a f***ing Columbine kid”.

It is alleged the couple then had an altercation during which Pitt prevented her and the children from getting off the plane for 20 minutes.

Jolie claims she suffered a “rug burn type wound” on her left hand, and she said in the report she may have scratched Pitt.

Pitt is alleged by Jolie to have behaved like “a monster”, complaining non-stop and screaming at the children.

The entire family was “shell-shocked” during the flight and she felt as if she was “frozen, scared and didn’t know what to do”.

Around $25,000 in damage was caused during the flight, mainly by red wine stains.

The Inglourious Basterds star was not arrested or charged with the incident after the FBI investigation concluded in November 2016.

It is claimed a representative from the US Attorney’s Office “discussed the merits of this investigation with the [FBI] case agent”.

“It was agreed by all parties that criminal charges in this case would not be pursued due to several factors,” the report read.

And in April this year, Jolie filed a lawsuit against the FBI as a “Jane Doe” to obtain more information on the investigation to try and work out why Pitt faced no action.

She was this week revealed as the plaintiff in the case, as first reported by Puck.

Just weeks earlier, it was reported Pitt urinated on the tarmac and crashed a fuel truck at a Minnesota airport following his blazing row with Angelina.

Pitt spoke to GQ in 2017 were he revealed he was seeking to quit drinking and improve himself after his separation with Jolie.

He said: ” Truthfully I could drink a Russian under the table with his own vodka.”

The actor added: “[I] don’t want to live that way anymore.”

Angelina and Brad share six kids – Maddox, 21; Pax, 18; Zahara, 17; Shiloh, 16; and Vivienne and Knox, 14.

Brad was awarded “joint custody” of their children back in May 2021.

And the two legally divorced exes continue to be embroiled in a custody fight over the youngest children.

This isn’t the first time reports of ugly legal battles between the stars have surfaced.

In February, Brad sued Angelina for allegedly secretly selling the $164million French estate and winery they share.

The Sun Online has approached representatives of both Pitt and Jolie for comment on the new photos.
