Mike Tyson makes 'exciting' career announcement ahead of Jake Paul fight

Mike Tyson is focused on his upcoming return to the boxing ring but the heavyweight boxing legend has made a huge career announcement.

Tyson, 57, takes on Jake Paul in a superfight at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on July 20.

In a groundbreaking move, the bout will be shown live on Netflix with no additional cost for existing subscribers.

In excellent shape, Tyson has looked sharp in training as he prepares for a first fight since his exhibition with Roy Jones Jr in 2020.

The youngest ever world heavyweight champion looks set for a mammoth pay-day but months before the event, Tyson has confirmed a monumental business venture.

He has his own cannabis firm called ‘Tyson 2.0’, which has a wide range of products – including ear-shaped ‘Mike Bites’ edibles with a nod to him chomping on Evander Holyfield in their fight.

According to a report from Benzinga, the products will now be coming to Germany and the United Kingdom through a partnership with pharmaceutical company PHCANN.

“Collaborating with PHCANN to bring my premium TYSON 2.0 cannabis products to Germany and the UK is a natural move as industry heavyweights,” Tyson said.

“I’m excited to make our world-class products available to medical cannabis patients in the region.

“Together, we’re setting new standards and delivering something that no one else is bringing to the table.”

Wrestling legend Ric Flair is also a partner and both he and Tyson are slated to appear as panelists at next week’s Benzinga Capital Conference in Florida.

Tyson has been in the cannabis game for quite some time now and has 420-acre weed resort near Desert Hot Springs in Southern California, where cannabis is legal.

He once claimed to smoke $40,000’s worth of weed per month but prior to the Paul fight, Tyson will be abstaining from smoking marijuana.

“I don’t know, maybe it has something to do with my tripolar tendencies or something,” Tyson said.

“But I don’t think I am going to smoke for this fight. I think I am going to be very irritable and nasty.

“Normally I do [take the edibles], but for this particular fight I think I’m going to go pretty raw and naked.”
