During a stand-up routine at a comedy club, Williams openly denounced Winfrey and Perry for supposedly discriminating against and neglecting other black comedians and actors in the entertainment industry.
Williams accused Winfrey of favoritism, alleging that she only promotes black actors who fit her specific criteria. He expressed his frustration at not being given the same opportunities as others in the industry and questioned Winfrey’s motives. As for Perry, Williams claimed that the filmmaker only hires comedians he can control and manipulate, undermining the creative freedom of artists.
