Joe Rogan holds nothing back when making Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul fight prediction

Joe Rogan held nothing back when predicting who would win between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul.

Earlier this month it was announced that Paul, 27, would face former unified world champion Tyson, 57, in a boxing match in Texas on July 20. The bout will be staged in Texas and broadcast live on streaming platform Netflix.

Tyson became the youngest heavyweight champion in history at 20 while he was the first heavyweight boxer to simultaneously hold the WBA, WBC and IBF titles.

Meanwhile, last month YouTuber turned boxer Paul beat Ryan Bourland in his 10th professional fight.

Much has been said of Tyson’s age, with the boxer 30 years older than Paul and having last competed in a professional bout back in 2005.

Yet UFC commentator Rogan has insisted that Tyson still has the tools to dismantle Paul.

Rogan said on his eponymous podcast: “Just forget that Jake Paul is a YouTube guy and watch him fight. The kid can fight. 100 per cent. That Tommy Fury fight really showed that. It goes to a split decision against a legit undefeated boxer.

He continued: “I don’t give a f**k if he’s 55, that’s still Mike Tyson. He trains with Rafael Cordeiro, who’s a legend in MMA. He runs Kings Mixed Martial Arts. Rafael is a world-renowned trainer. When you see him holding the mits for Tyson and Tyson is smashing the mits. Jesus! That guy can still f*** you up.

“In this world with hormone replacement and vitamins. He does all this electrical muscle stimulation recovery stuff.

“When they were training Mike for that Roy Jones fight they were using state-of-the-art science. I don’t give a f*** if he’s 55 years old that guy will hurt you. If Jake Paul’s on the other side of the ring and he sees Mike Tyson bobbing and weaving he’s going to have a recognition.

“He’s going to look over and go, ‘Oh my God, that’s really Mike Tyson.’”

He added: “At 55 the power is the last thing to go but the thing is the speed is still there. It’s terrifying. And I don’t know what he did with Roy Jones Jr but in my mind, they made some sort of agreement where Mike wasn’t going to punch him in the face because most of the hits he hit him with, unless it was a jab, was to the body.”
