Beyoncé and JAY-Z are crazy in love with their three children: Blue Ivy and twins Rumi and Sir.

The musicians — who married in April 2008 — confirmed they were expecting their first child three years later when Beyoncé teased, “I have a surprise,” while cradling a baby bump on the red carpet at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.

They welcomed their oldest child, daughter Blue Ivy, in January 2012.

“I feel more beautiful than I’ve ever felt because I’ve given birth,” Beyoncé told PEOPLE in April 2012 after being named PEOPLE’s World’s Most Beautiful Woman. “I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth.”

While speaking on LeBron James’ show, The Shop: Uninterrupted, JAY-Z also opened up about becoming a father.

“It’s amazing. It’s a very grounding thing … I didn’t learn how to swim until Blue was born,” he said.

“There goes everything you need to know. This is a metaphor for our relationship.

If she ever fell in the water and I couldn’t get her, I couldn’t even fathom that thought. I gotta learn how to swim. That’s it. That was the beginning of our relationship.”
