Breezy said the project is “coming soon.”

Chris Brown And Young Thug Announce Their Joint Mixtape | Boombuzz

It appears Chris Brown and Young Thug have a joint project on the way. Taking to their Instagram Stories on Monday (April 6), both Breezy and Thugger confirmed they’re currently working on a collaborated mixtape.

“Me and Thugga Thugga Got a mixtape coming soon,” Brown wrote, accompanied by several fire and snake emojis.

Likewise, Thug reposted the message to his own Story.

So far, neither have offered any further details about the tape’s name or when it might drop. However, later on Monday (April 6), Breezy did post a photo on Instagram that seemed to depict “Aeko” — the name of his 4-month-old son. Fans quickly speculated that Aeko could be the title of his forthcoming project. Brown and model Ammika Harris welcomed their son back in November, with CB sharing his first photos of the infant the next month.

Chris Brown and Young Thug last teamed up on “High End,” alongside Future, which landed on Brown’s 2017 mixtape, Heartbreak on a Full Moon. Both artists were also reportedly spotted playing basketball together at Brown’s residence over the weekend (April 5), which could mean they’ve already started recording.

Most recently, Brown dropped off his collaboration with Afro B, GASHI and DJ Snake “Safety 2020.” This year he also appeared on the “Slide (Remix)” alongside Pop Smoke, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and H.E.R. Breezy hasn’t released a full-length project since 2019’s Indigo, which featured the likes of DaniLeigh, Tory Lanez, Juicy J, Lil Jon, G-Eazy, Nicki Minaj, Tyga, Lil Wayne, Drake, Trey Songz and more.

Young Thug, on the other hand, recently released his single “Quarantine Clean” with Gunna and Turbo. The track followed up his appearance on Trippie Redd’s A Love Letter To You 4 (Deluxe). He also released his critically acclaimed albums So Much Fun and So Much Fun (Deluxe) — which featured collaborations with Gunna, Travis Scott, Future, Machine Gun Kelly, Lil Baby, J. Cole, Juice WRLD and more — last year.
