Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s love story still has the Chiefs tight end in awe and he’s loving every second of it.

The three-time Super Bowl champ explained why he’s still surprised he was able to land the billionaire songstress during the latest installment of his and big brother Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast, which featured rapper Lil Dicky as a guest.

Travis Kelce not sure how he landed Taylor Swift

“I think it’s the best thing ever,” the rapper, whose real name is David Burd, said of Swift of Kelce’s whirlwind romance — adding that he can understand why people are enamored with the couple because there’s just something so “American” and “classic” about their love.

Kelce replied, “I appreciate that. I don’t know how I did it because she was not into sports, so I don’t know how the f I did it,” to which Lil Dicky responded: “You did it because you called her out.”

The rapper was seemingly referring to when Kelce attempted to shoot his shot with Swift by giving her a friendship bracelet while at her concert in July 2023 — but he was “blocked” from meeting her due to her preserving her voice prior to performing.

“Oh, I know exactly how I did it,” Kelce said, laughing.

The All-Pro tight end said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal Magazine that he “played cupid” and wound up receiving a text from Swift soon after, and they began dating shortly after.

“It’s fun,” Kelce said during the podcast.

“I’m just having a blast in life, baby, just flying high. I’m enjoying it all. Bringing new lives to the football world and opening the football world up to new things.”

Lil Dicky explained that anyone who hates on the couple’s romance is just a bitter loser.

“Honestly, my take on it, not that you want to spend time talking about it for the five thousandth time, but I just think there is something that makes everyone feel like the world is kind of like high school, where the most popular popstar and beloved musician somehow met the most popular beloved athlete and they actually fell in love and it’s just real.

“Anyone who hates on it is a bitter loser, but I think a lot of people who you would maybe expect to hate on it, love it, and they acknowledge they love it because it’s just so — there is something so American about it …There is something classic about it.”

At one point, Jason mentioned that he and Travis have a bunch of new fans now that he’s dating Swift.

“I’m not sure if you’ve heard of them, they’re called Swifties,” he said, to which Lil Dicky replied, “Yeah I’ve heard of them. How are you guys doing with all this?”

Jason explained that things haven’t changed “that much for me,” but things are a bit different for Travis.

Travis had to relocate to a new house in Kansas City for security reasons, the brothers claimed in an earlier podcast episode.

After starting a romantic relationship during the summer, Travis and Taylor made their relationship public in October 2023.
