The Hargitay family sure has strong genes!

On December 21, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star Mariska Hargitay shared the best selfie of her and her and her older brother, Mickey Hargitay Jr., to celebrate his 65th birthday. In the snapshot, the two siblings both have big grins on their faces while posing in front of luscious plants on a bright, sunny day. Then, we saw a photo of Mickey’s very own colorful plant truck.

“I love this guy so much. Best big bother. Soulful. Protective. Nurturing. Funny. Fun. Kind. Wise. Gentle. Hard Working. Fair #plantman happy birthday Mickey love you. Best brother ever and best PLANTS ever. To watch somebody nurture plants is a thing of beauty.🌱🪻🌺🌲🪴🫚🫛🍀🌸 🌴🌳” she lovingly captioned the post. Looks like being one with nature runs in the Hargitay family!

This isn’t the only way that Hargitay gave her big bro the best shoutout on his bday. That same day, she also shared a rare, unseen photograph of her mother, Jayne Mansfield, her father, Mickey Hargitay, and three of her siblings, Zoltan, Jayne Marie, and Mickey Jr. all celebrating Mickey Jr.’s. In the stunning snapshot, Mickey Jr. adorably blew out some candles on a cake while Mansfield stunned in a blue checkered sweater.

What to know about Mariska Hargitay’s siblings

Mariska Hargitay has five siblings. Mickey Hargitay Jr. Mickey was born in 1958, and his parents are Mickey Hargitay and Jayne Mansfield. Mickey and Mansfield welcomed Zoltan in 1960, followed by Mariska in 1964. Meanwhile, Jayne Marie Mansfield was Mansfield’s daughter from her first marriage to Paul Mansfield, while Tony Cimber was born in 1965 to Jayne Mansfield and her third husband, Matt Cimber. Mickey Hargitay’s daughter Tina was born during his first marriage to Mary Birge, according to StyleCaster.

Although her siblings mostly choose to remain out of the spotlight, they also have ties to show business. Jayne Marie was a model like her mother, Zoltan worked as a carpenter on Hollywood films, Mickey Jr. has appeared as himself on The Merv Griffin Show and New York, New York in the 60s. Tony Cimber has directing credits, including directing two episodes of the 2019 show The Original Ladies of Wrestling. Tina has kept her career and personal life mostly private, but still appears to be close to Mariska, as she attended Mariska’s ceremony for her Hollywood Walk of Fame star in 2013.
