DJ Khaled and Fat Joe attended rapper Raul Conde’s funeral Monday at a cemetery in Coral Gables, Florida, just more than a week after the Terror Squad artist’s death following a fatal heart attack at the age of 52.

DJ Khaled, 48, was clad in an all-black ensemble of a short-sleeved button-up top with black pants and sneakers, with sunglasses. He was seen chatting with fellow mourners and sitting alongside Fat Joe, 53, at the somber proceedings.

The funeral viewing was held at Van Orsdel Family Funeral Chapels in Coral Gables, with the burial taking place at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn North in Miami, according to a post DJ Khaled shared on Instagram. He captioned the image, ‘Love you brother.’

He also posted an image of a collection of huge floral arrangements honoring Conde’s memory, including one with the Terror Squad initials TS.

Other notable names in attendance included rapper Noreaga, 46, and producer Scott Storch, 49.

DJ Khaled, Fat Joe,and French Montana were among the hip-hop luminaries who  paid tribute to rapper Raul Conde via social media, after news of his death broke November 24.

‘My Day 1 how can a man love another man more than your own biological family. You are 1 of 1 the most loyal EVER. We did it since kids we did everything we dreamed of i love you with every fiber in my body,’ Joe wrote.

Conde had been a member of Fat Joe’s Bronx-based rap collective Terror Squad since it began in 1998.

‘I thought we’d get old together and look back at the times we had and laugh. No one understood me like you, you were God sent my brother I wish I could get one last talk with you.’

‘My Condolences to the CONDE FAMILY ty for letting us have RAUL for all these years i can tell you not a moment in my life i won’t love and cherish every minute every second I’ve had with RAUL,’ the Lean Back rapper added.

Also mourning Conde was former Love & Hip-Hop: New York star Erica Mena, who shares a child, King, with the late Terror Squad member. On her Instagram story, Mena posted a photo of Conde and their son together. She wrote in the caption: ‘My Son officially has a broken heart. LIFE IS SO SHORT. PLEASE LOVE YOUR PEOPLE.’

In his tributes, Joe posted numerous photos demonstrating the pair’s close relationship over the years.

Conde was also known for directing videos and was behind the camera for the video of Fat Joe’s crossover hit Lean Back as well as for the song Take Me Home. Conde also directed the video for MDMA and Lupe Fiasco hit Cupcakin.

In 1998, Joe credited Conde with saving his life following an encounter Terror Squad had with a local gangster while performing in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

When the encounter turned physical, a member of Terror Squad punched the kingpin, the group were set upon by hoards of people inside of a club.

‘When I go to walk [out], I open the door, this dude is standing in the trunk of a car — this is no exaggeration — pulling out the silver gun, All of a sudden, I see Raul TS. Now, Raul got a .22 Derringer, probably the same s**t he had at Morris High School,’ Joe said during an Instagram Live session.

 The pair’s friend Joey Crack chimed in.

‘So he tells me to stand behind him and all eight of us are in line with Raul’s .22. We wound up car-jacking two dudes, grabbed them out, boom, jumped in the whip … We get the f**k outta there.,’ Crack said.

Conde, a Bronx-native, attend the infamous Morris High School in The Bronx alongside Fat Joe. At the time of his death, he had been living in Miami. According to his Instagram page, he was an ordained minister.

DJ Khaled was also close with Conde.

‘Love you my brother @raul.ts you are very rare you the definition of a true brother friend . U always wanted to see everyone win. RAUL I LOVE YOU BROTHER ! GOD BLESS . WE GOING MISS U, @raul.ts the legendary RAUL ! Love for ever!’ the social media star wrote on Instagram.

In addition to music, Conde was also behind a tequila brand that was pushed by Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Scott Disick.

In 2007, reality star Erica Mena gave birth to her and Conde’s son, King. Mena has two younger children with her ex-husband and Love and Hip-Hop: New York star Safaree Samuels.

Mena was fired from the show in 2023 after being accused of using a racial slur.

In 2010, a video went viral showing Mena attack Conde. After the clip spread, Mena went on to publicly accuse Conde of being physically abusive to her during their relationship together at 2013 rally to raise awareness of domestic abuse.

A year later, the couple appeared to have solved their problems as she posted a photo showing them bringing their son to a Miami Heat game.
