Zoe Saldana is one of those actors in Hollywood who rose to fame within a short period of time with her great acting abilities and choice of projects. The American actor has been associated with reputed franchises like Star Trek, Avatar, MCU’s James Gunn directed Guardians Of The Galaxy, and Pirates Of The Caribbean.

Zoe Saldana has been a part of the highest-grossing movies of all time in the history of cinema.

Despite being a significant part of the multi-million dollar action-drama, the 45-year-old actor felt lost on the sets of Johnny Depp starrer Pirates Of The Caribbean.

Why Zoe Saldana Would Never Work in The Pirates Of The Caribbean Franchise Again?

Zoe Saldana was a part of the 2003 release, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.

The actor played the character of pirate Anamaria, the former owner of the ship that was stolen by Jack Sparrow.

During an interview with the media outlet BuzzFeed UK, she reflected on the iconic roles she has played in her past projects.

The Adam Project actor revealed about having a tough time during the filming of Pirates Of The Caribbean. She said-

“What a great movie, it really was fun and entertaining and very well shot, very well performed. It was all around such a diverse cast as well, all ages, all walks of life. But a hard production, it was just so big. It was too big of a machine for me, and it was too out of control. So when I see what transpired on screen, I’m very proud of [it]. Though how difficult it was to get there, I don’t ever want to go back.”

She further continued-

“I was only asked to be part of one and then, you know, and then that was it. Maybe they chose to go in a different direction. If [having her character return] was certainly the goal in the beginning, it didn’t transpire by the end of the production and I’m happy it didn’t. There was just a lot of politics that you would have had to navigate, and I just felt really lost and very small in that big machine. But I’m happy for all the actors that benefited from this, because they certainly did and they went off to have amazing careers. And I followed their careers and felt really inspired, but for me, it was definitely an experience not worth repeating.”

For Zoe Saldana, it was the grand size of the production, which made her working experience with the franchise difficult and she would never want to reprise her character in any of the upcoming installments of the Pirates Of The Caribbean.

Zoe Saldana Does Not Want to Reprise Gamora After Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3?

During an interview with the media outlet The Hollywood Reporter, Zoe Saldana confirmed that she has been looking forward to hanging her wedge boots on the doors of the James Gunn-directed Guardians Of The Galaxy.

The actor plays the character of Gamora, the stepdaughter of Thanos, and the love interest of the Star-lord. She said-

“I don’t think this is the end for the Guardians. It is the end for me, for Gamora.”

While talking about the future of her character in the billion-dollar franchise, the actor said-

“Filming started bitter in the beginning ’cause obviously, you’re anticipating the end. But I’m just so happy that once again I got to work with great people.

I had an evolution that I witnessed of myself, but also my director and my cast. I just felt very blessed and grateful. It was a very sweet departure, I have to say.”
