Snoop Dogg – wearing a Make America Snow Again hat in reference to the Jeezy song Snow Season – attacked the President over the government shutdown on Instagram

Snoop urged furloughed government workers not to vote for Trump again because ‘he doesn’t give a f*** about y’all’ in a profane rant against the President

Snoop – a vocal critic of Trump and his policies – uploaded the video on Saturday as the shutdown entered its 16th day amid a row over funding for the border wall.

Wearing a blue hat with the slogan Make America Snow Again on the front – a play on Trump’s election slogan and the Jeezy song Snow Season – he says: ‘I just wanna say this real quick on the political s***.

‘All you people for the federal government that are not getting paid right now, ain’t no f***ing way in the world you can vote for Donald Trump when he comes back up again.

‘If ya’ll do vote for him, y’all some stupid motherf***ers, I’m saying that to y’all early.

‘All you federal government people that’s not being paid, that’s being treated f***ing unfairly right now… that’s so terrible and this punk mother***ker don’t care.

‘So I’m saying that to say this: When the s*** get back on and y’all get your jobs back and it’s time to vote, don’t vote for that n*****, please don’t.

‘Look what he do, he just don’t give a s***. Y’all honest, blue collar, hardworking, people are suffering.

‘So if he don’t care about y’all, he really don’t give a f*** about us. So f*** him too, and f*** everybody down with Donald Trump.

‘Yeah I said it, Snoop Dogg n*****, fuck him. You’re gunna shut the government down n*****, you’se a piece of shit. F*** you.’

Trump claimed Sunday there was a ‘productive’ meeting to end the shutdown between his administration and Democrats, but the Dems told a very different story

Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, Vice President Mike Pence, and White House Senior Adviser Jared Kushner met with aides for Democrats Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi

Trump said the two sides had agreed to build a steel barrier instead of a concrete one, but gave no sign about when the shutdown might end

Snoop used to share an amicable relationship with Trump during his days as a reality TV show host, and in 2007 winners of one challenge on the Apprentice were allowed to make a freestyle rap with him.

But things began to turn sour in 2011 when Snoop took part in a Comedy Central roast of Donald Trump and poked fun of his presidential ambitions.

After Trump took office, Snoop stirred controversy with the video for his song Lavender in which he pointed a toy pistol at a clown dressed to look like the new President and pulled the trigger.

‘Can you imagine what the outcry would be if Snoop Dogg, failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama? Jail time,’ Trump tweeted.

Since then he has been among the president’s many critics, attacking both the man and figures from the music industry who support him, such as Kanye West.

Trump said there had been a ‘productive’ meeting on Sunday after Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen and White House senior adviser Jared Kushner met with aides from Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer’s and Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s offices.

The President said afterwards that he was now planning to build a steel wall instead of a concrete one, but gave no indication over when the shutdown might end.

Meanwhile a Democratic official told Axios that the meeting started 45 minutes late and no progress had been made.

Despite Trump’s assurances that high-level meetings would take place throughout Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, the Democrat source said no further meetings had been planned.

Trump is asking for $5billion to build a wall along the US southern border as part of new government spending plans, while Democrats have offered $1billion for improved security, but no wall.

Despite the $1billion plan being passed by the Republican-controlled Senate and Democrat-controlled House, Trump has vowed to veto any bill that does not fund his signature campaign promise.

Speaking to furloughed workers on Sunday, Trump said he could relate to their pain but added: ‘I’m sure that the people who are on the receiving end will make adjustments, they always do.

‘But many of those people that won’t be receiving a paycheck, many of those people agree 100 percent with what I’m doing.

‘They will make an adjustment because they want to see the border taken care of,’ Trump said later Sunday as he stood firm that all would be well for federal workers.

‘It’ll all work out,’ he said.
