Snoop Dogg on Monday thanked Dr. Dre and the NFL for letting him honor his late mother Beverly Tate in his performance during the Super Bowl halftime show Sunday.
‘Thank. U @nfl and. @drdre for letting me have my mommas image,’ the rapper, 50, said in an Instagram post Monday. ‘C apart of my set.’
The Long Beach, California native had a picture of him and his late mother prominently placed on the set of the halftime show at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, as he was part of a star-studded set with Dr. Dre, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar and 50 Cent.

The Drop It Like It’s Hot performer, whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr., paid honor to his late mother on the social media site in the wake of her death, sharing a shot of the pair together with the caption, ‘Mama thank u for having me.’
The Young, Wild & Free rapper appeared on the radio show The Breakfast Club days after her passing, opening up on handling his grief amid the troubled time.

‘It’s heavy on my heart but at the same time I know that these are things that she loved for me to do,’ the Gin and Juice artist said at the time.
‘To make people smile, to make people laugh, to spread joy. So the pandemic taught me to love people more, to be more up close and personal, and to be more understanding.
‘Because there’s a lot of mental health going on. We all have it but we just ashamed to say it.’
Last summer, the rapper took to social media documenting a hospital visit he made with his siblings to see his ailing parent.
‘Happy Sunday me and my brothers went to c mama today and she opened up her eyes to c us and let us know she still fighting,’ he said. ‘God is good thanks for all the prayers 1 day at a time.’
