ince the end of the trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, many rumors pointed to the idea that Disney might reconsider its decision to veto the American actor.

It had been thought that Depp would have no change of playing Captain Jack Sparrow in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean 6’.

Watch Johnny Depp amazing transformation

After the verdict of the litigation with his ex-wife, Depphimself went as far as to express his refusal to return to Disney, even if he was paid an exorbitant amount of money.

However, time could have healed those wounds and the actor is rumored to be close to returning to one of the most famous roles of his career.

Will Johnny Depp return to ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’?

Johnny Depp’s potential return depends on the project, an insider has revealed.

“Anything is possible and, if the project is the right one, he will do it,” a source said, as reported by Espinof.

That aligns with recent statements from producerJerry Bruckheimer, who has been reluctant to address the topic.

“We’re still working on it, nothing’s definitive yet,” he said when asked about progress on the movie.

“But we continue to take little baby steps getting towards a screenplay.”

The script is not yet finished, nor have negotiations with the actor taken place yet, so the future of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean 6’ remains up in the air.

One of the names that did gain traction to star in the next sequel of the series is Margot Robbie.

Disney are desperate to sign up the Australian and currently have two scripts, one starring her, and another without.
