Johnny Depp was seen wearing a medical boot and walking with the aid of crutches on Wednesday as he left his hotel in Manchester as he continued to recover weeks after sustaining a ‘painful’ ankle injury.

The Hollywood star, 60, took things slowly as he relied on the help of the walking aid to carefully make his way to his tour bus.

Johnny is currently on tour with his band Hollywood Vampires, with the supergroup on the UK leg with upcoming performances in Scarborough, Swansea, Manchester and London.

Not letting his injury get in the way, Johnny looked in good spirits as he made his way out of his hotel and towards the bus, with the rocker carrying a red cup in his hand.

Cutting a cool figure, the Pirates Of The Caribbean star donned a distressed brown leather jacket which he teamed with a blue plaid shirt and a blue and red stripe slouchy hat.

Finishing off his look, he added black trousers, blue-tinted sunglasses and white and green trainers, with his other foot enclosed in the medical boot.

MailOnline have contacted representatives of Johnny for comment.

Johnny’s outing on crutches comes after he was forced to postpone the American leg of his band’s upcoming tour due to a painful, lower-body injury.

After tweaking his ankle while promoting his film, Jeanne Du Barry, at the Cannes Film Festival in June, a source revealed to TMZ at the time that the star ‘stressed it further while trying to power through’ at tribute show for his late friend Jeff Beck.

An insider divulged to the publication that the father-of-two’s ‘ankle is fractured and his medical team has instructed him not to fly for the foreseeable future.’

This means the Edward Scissorhands actor was unable to perform at the Hollywood Vampires’ next three shows,  which were scheduled for New Hampshire, Massachusetts and New York, in June.

Last month, Depp and his bandmates, Alice Cooper and Joe Perry, confirmed the news that they have to reschedule their first three U.S tour dates on their Instagram account.

‘We are sad to share that the Hollywood Vampires will be rescheduling our three US tour dates this coming week,’ the band revealed in their post.

They continued: ‘Johnny has sustained a painful injury to his ankle following his recent appearances and has been advised by his doctor not to travel.’

‘He is devastated by this turn of events, but looks forward to resting up so all four Vampires can bring their absolute best to the tour in Europe,’ the group continued.

Johnny, Alice and Joe formed the Hollywood Vampires in 2012, initially performing cover songs to honor rock stars who died in the 1970s.

Johnny previously toured with Beck and recorded an album with the legendary guitarist, who died, at the age of 78, after contracting bacterial meningitis.

The pair created a 13-track collection, featuring two new Depp originals, and an eclectic mix of cover songs ranging from such iconic artists as the Beach Boys, Marvin Gaye and John Lennon to alternative rockers such as Killing Joke and The Velvet Underground.

‘When Johnny and I started playing together, it really ignited our youthful spirit and creativity. We would joke about how we felt 18 again so that just became the album title too,’ Beck, 77, said in a statement about the album, as reported by Billboard.

In keeping with their fond teenage memories that were sparked by the music, the two artists decided to use an illustration of themselves as 18-year-olds, drawn by Beck’s wife Sandra, for the album cover.
