Timothee Chalamet works up a sweat playing basketball with Adam Sandler… NINE YEARS after they co-starred in Men, Women & Children

Timothee Chalamet worked up a sweat this week while playing basketball in New York with a group of friends including Adam Sandler.

Their reunion came nearly a decade after they acted together in Men, Women & Children, the dramedy film that marked Timothee’s big-screen debut.

Adam, 56, also threw himself fully into the spirit of the game, his ‘Let Me Ask My Wife’ t-shirt soaked with perspiration.

Meanwhile Timothee, 27, stuck to a simple grey t-shirt and navy shorts, adding a pop of personality to the look with aquamarine sneakers.

Away from the game, the Little Women actor could be spotted strutting his stuff down a sunlit sidewalk with a pair of headphones on.

Shading his face from the rays with a baseball cap and a large pair of dark shades, Timothee grabbed a warm beverage to go.

‘Adam is quite the character on the basketball court! He is known to play at numerous public and private courts both in NY and LA,’ a source told Just Jared

‘He has quite a bag of tricks – with deceptive passes & pretty good shooting! Don’t be surprised if he shows up at any random court you’re playing on!’

Long before Timothee achieved the international fame he enjoys today, he made his movie debut in Men, Women & Children, which starred Adam.

The 2014 release was directed by Jason Reitman, whose previous work included Juno and Up In The Air, and whose father made the original Ghostbusters.

Narrated by Emma Thompson, Men, Women & Children featured a glittering cast brimming with such names as Jennifer Garner, Judy Greer and JK Simmons.

Ansel Elgort, who went to the same upscale performing arts high school in New York as Timothee, was also in the star-studded picture.

Timothee had only a small role in Men, Women & Children, which was about the effects of social media on small-town life in Texas.

Last year, while accepting a Gotham Award with a speech ‘my daughters wrote,’ Adam affectionately made fun of Timothee from the stage.

‘We also wish we could be at tonight’s award show with all you sophisticated people,’ Adam’s daughters said in the remarks he read out.

‘But Daddy said, and we quote: “I don’t wanna spend a whole night that’s supposed to be about me and my greatness listening to you two newly pubertized buffoons screaming: ‘Where is Timothee Chalamet and how can we legally squeeze that fine little Jewish a** of his?’”‘ Adam continued to a huge laugh.

Timothee is currently awaiting the release of Dune: Part Two, a thunderous new sci-fi movie starring him opposite Zendaya.

He also led the cast of the first film in the two-parter, which is based on the beloved epic novel Frank Herbert published in 1965.

Directed by Denis Villeneuve, whose other films include Sicario and Blade Runner 2049, Dune: Part Two plunges Timothee into a cast of heavy hitters.

Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken, Javier Bardem, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac and Josh Brolin are all among Timothee’s co-stars.
