Justin Timberlake Turns Off Instagram Comments Following Ex Britney Spears’ Book Release Bombshells

The ‘Toxic’ singer revealed in her book that she was pregnant and had an abortion while dating the former *NSYNC band member

Justin Timberlake has turned off his Instagram comments after Britney Spears’ book release.

The “Toxic” singer dropped some bombshells about their previous relationship in her memoir The Woman in Me which has put the spotlight on Timberlake’s alleged past behavior, including allegations that he cheated on the pop star. (In her memoir, Spears also confirms that she kissed choreographer Wade Robson while she was still dating Timberlake.)

In her book, Spears, now 41, writes that she was pregnant with Timberlake’s baby at one point during their relationship, which lasted from 1999 to 2002. She claims the former *NSYNC band member wanted her to have an abortion, which she did.

“I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated,” Spears wrote in the book. “But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.”

In the chapter revealing the pregnancy and abortion, she wrote:

“It was important that no one find out about the pregnancy or the abortion, which meant doing everything at home,” Spears said. “We didn’t even tell my family. The only person who knew besides Justin and me was Felicia [Culotta, Spears’ former assistant], who was always on hand to help me. I was told, ‘It might hurt a little bit, but you’ll be fine.'”

She continued recounting the experience, “On the appointed day, with only Felicia and Justin there, I took the little pills. Soon I started having excruciating cramps. I went into the bathroom and stayed there for hours, lying on the floor, sobbing and screaming.”

In the book, Spears recalled Timberlake, now 42, tried to comfort her.

“Justin came into the bathroom and lay on the floor with me,” she wrote. “At some point he thought maybe music would help, so he got his guitar and he lay there with me strumming it.”

Timberlake has not yet commented on Spears’ revelations, which are read by actress Michelle Williams in the audio version.

However, he has expressed regret for his past behavior and shared support for Spears as she sought to end her 13-year conservatorship.

In February 2021, Timberlake shared a lengthy Instagram post apologizing for his past behavior towards both Spears and Janet Jackson. “I understand that I fell short in these moments and in many others and benefited from a system that condones misogyny and racism. I specifically want to apologize to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson both individually, because I care for and respect these women and I know I failed,” he wrote.

That same year, he posted on X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter, in support of Spears’ 13-year conservatorship being ended. It was officially terminated in November 2021.

“We should all be supporting Britney at this time. Regardless of our past, good and bad, and no matter how long ago it was… what’s happening to her is just not right,” he wrote on X at the time. “No woman should ever be restricted from making decisions about her own body. No one should EVER be held against their will… or ever have to ask permission to access everything they’ve worked so hard for.”
