Britney Spears calls her ex a ‘genius’

While dancing to Justin Timberlake’s song ‘Filthy’, pop star Britney Spears praised his talent and was surprised by the male singer’s response.

On April 15, Britney posted on Instagram a TikTok dance video to the tune of ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake’s 2018 song Filthy

While criticizing herself for being a bad dancer, the 38-year-old singer praised Justin. She wrote in the caption: “I know we had one of the biggest breakups in the world 20 years ago… but this man is a genius!!! Great song, JT ah”.

This is the first time Britney directly called out Justin Timberlake and mentioned their broken love story on Instagram. Unexpectedly, Justin quickly responded to Britney’s status line with a teary smiley face and a hand raised in gratitude.

Britney and Justin Timberlake dated from the late 1990s to 2002. The love story of the princess and the prince of pop consumed a lot of ink in the press at that time. Their breakup was equally noisy with many rumors that Britney had cheated on Justin. Three years later, the male singer wrote the song Cry Me A River  and blamed his girlfriend for having an affair with another man.

Justin is currently married to actress Jessica Biel and has a young son. Britney has gone through two failed marriages and is the mother of two teenage sons. The Toxic singer is dating 26-year-old model Sam Asghari.
