Travis Kelce surprised a lot of fans when he attended the second night of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert in Indianapolis just two days before the Kansas City Chiefs played a game.

For those who missed it, Kelce was in attendance during the Saturday concert at Lucas Oil Stadium to support his girlfriend. The three-night show was also the final leg of Swift’s tour in the U.S., so it was certainly extra special.

While many expected Kelce to skip the concert because of the Chiefs’ preparations for Monday Night Football—against a tough Tampa Bay Buccaneers team, no less—the nine-time Pro Bowler still found a way to make it happen.

Speaking in the latest episode of the “New Heights” podcast, Kelce opened up about his decision to attend the show despite the short gap between it and the Chiefs’ next game. According to the 35-year-old, he simply couldn’t afford to miss it.

“I wanted to see Tay one more time before this thing got closed up,” Kelce shared, via E! News.

The three-time Super Bowl champion then proceeded to highlight how much he enjoyed the show, noting that America “did not disappoint.” Each of the three shows broke the stadium’s concert attendance record every night.

“And I’ll tell you what, man, the American crowds, they did not disappoint,” he added. “I heard that it was a lot more rowdy this time around, knowing she was coming back to stop through America one last time before the tour was over with. And man, that thing was rocking.”

For what it’s worth, Taylor Swift reciprocated the support that her boyfriend showed. Less than 24 hours after her final show in Indianapolis finished, she quickly made her way to Kansas City to watch the Chiefs’ showdown with the Buccaneers.

Kelce did not disappoint as well, finishing with 14 catches and 100 yards. His catches were actually the most by any player in NFL history, regardless of position, at age 35 or older.

Unfortunately for Kelce and Swift, they will have to be far away from each other for a bit, with the former going to Canada next to close out her Eras Tour and the latter continuing his NFL season.
