Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark had an unforgettable rookie season in the WNBA, racking up accolades left and right.
To name a few of her achievements, she won the Rookie of the Year award, earned a spot in an All-Star game, was named to the All-WNBA First Team, and even made history as the first rookie ever to record a triple-double.
The night Clark recorded her historic triple-double, the Fever faced the eventual 2024 WNBA champions, the New York Liberty. As Clark pulled down the final rebound to put her over the top, the crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse erupted in support.
On Monday, the Indiana Fever shared a video on social media of the former first-overall pick as she watched and relived that “special moment.”
Clark also admitted it was the turning point when the team began to put it all together. That 83-78 comeback win over the Liberty sparked momentum, as the Fever went on to win 10 of their next 15 games.
“I feel like this was definitely one of our turning points in the year of when we really started getting going,” Clark added. “This was one of the more fun games we had at home. It wasn’t always the prettiest for us.”
The former Iowa Hawkeye helped the Fever reach the playoffs for the first time since the 2016 season. Indiana secured the sixth seed with a 20-19 record but ultimately fell to the third-seeded Connecticut Sun in three games.
In 2024, Clark averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and a league-leading 8.4 assists per game.
