Even though Britney Spears was freed from conservatorship in November 2021, she is still surrounded by tense situations and depression and facing many challenges. She admitted to taking medication for depression on her Instagram account recently. From 2007 to now, including during her conservatorship, she has suffered several mental breakdowns believed to have been triggered by her sons’ distant relationship with her. However, many friends and celebrities came forward to support her during this challenging period. Now, American singer Pink also recalled her time in an interview with the pop star and slammed her haters who trolled her brutally and put her in a tense situation, including a recent privacy breach incident.

Pink Shows Respect To Britney Spears And Feels Protective Of Her

In an interview with People, American singer Pink, 43, went to promote her new album Trustfall. During the interview, she recalled her early days of musical success and how she survived as a pop star. Due to her experience navigating pre-fame growing pains, the singer felt she emerged relatively untouched from the early years. During singer Pink’s early career stage, female pop stars such as Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera frequently encountered misogyny and the unforgiving gaze of tabloids.

In her early days, the 43-year-old singer also faced difficult phases, including a problematic relationship with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. Pink, however, clarified in several interviews that she never disgraced both pop stars. She told the outlet,
“People think I was picking on Britney on [my 2001 single] ‘Don’t Let Me Get Me,’ but I’ve always felt like a big sister to her. I’m very protective of her, and she’s the sweetest person in the world.”
According to Pink, Spears has been vocal about her trauma as a young woman in the entertainment industry since the end of her conservatorship in November 2021. The Never Gonna Not Dance Again singer explained that she always respected Spears’ situation she faced in her life and said, “I wish her well. I cover her in light all day long.” The 43-year-old singer also recalled her and Spears’ famous Pepsi Super Bowl commercial in 2004, in which they sang legend Queen’s song We Will Rock You with Beyoncé. Since then, Never Gonna Not Dance Again ‘s love for Spears has been cemented.

TRUSTFALL singer explained the filming experience of that commercial,
“What a weird deal that was. What the hell? Like, ‘What are we doing?’ Also, you’re Pepsi. You’re flying us to Rome to shoot in a fake coliseum down the street from the real Coliseum. Why are we here? We could have gone to Canada. I don’t understand. That’s Pepsi money. For a while, everything I saw that was really fancy, I was like, ‘That’s Pepsi money.’ It was bizarre.”

The 43-year-old singer also admired Queen Bey and addressed her as the sweetest person in the world. However, she clarified her feelings regarding Spears but still faces backlash for shading Christina Aguilera in an interview and expressing her frustrations toward Twitter users.

Pink Never Dissed the Toxic Singer; She Recalled Being Pitted Against Britney Spears And Christina Aguilera

Pink also went on to explain that she was labeled as an ‘anti-Britney’ figure after her song Don’t Let Me Get Me came out. She said,
“I love Britney — she used to carry around my album. I was like, ‘Dude, I’m a street punk, I just skateboard. That doesn’t have to be anti-Britney. I don’t want to fight anybody.’
Furthermore, Pink and Christina Aguilera were involved in a public feud, which began with their collaboration on Lady Marmalade; however, the two have since reconciled. However, Pink still faces backlash over not mentioning Aguilera’s name during an interview when asked about their collaboration on Lady Marmalade.
