This weekends Adelaide performance of IceCube, Cypress Tour and The Game has been dealt a major blow with a huge cancellation.

Yesterday, just one day before the start of the scheduled Australian tour, The Game spectacularly pulled out of his Australian trip.

The US Rapper, who was scheduled to appear at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Saturday night with Cypress Hill and IceCube, has been active on social media but has not addressed the issue publicly.

The reason? Well, an email to ticket holders this week stated that The Game’s cancellation was due to ‘last minute commitments’.

The promoter has secured A.B. Original and DJ Total Eclipse as replacement.

Requests for ticket refunds, which were worth up to $350 for a VIP experience, have been rejected by Ticketek.

A statement explains why, saying that “under the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practise, a presenter is not required to provide an exchange option or refund where a performance has been made by an understudy or substitute (temporary or permanent) in the place of a main performer (other than a main performer in a music concert or single person performance), provided that the Member has provided notice of the use of an understudy or substitute.”

It’s not the first time The Game has done it, either. In 2013, he pulled out of a tour after a spat with his tour promoter.

The Game was set to be one of three huge names in the rap scene heading to Australia, with Ice Cube, Cypress Hill & The Game all banding together for one huge arena show.

Kicking off tonight at Rod Laver Arena, The Game was scheduled to hit Adelaide Entertainment CentreQudos Bank Arena in Sydney and Brisbane Entertainment Centre in their five-day stint.
