By 2015, Oprah began expanding Promised Land by purchasing an equestrian property and ranch for $28.85 billion, according to Architectural Digest.. a>

And in 2019, he expanded it even further to include a four-acre compound he purchased from actor Jeff Bridges for $6.85 million, the outlet reported. Now, The Promised Land extends to 70 contiguous acres in Montecito.

The compound he purchased from Bridges has five separate structures and includes the main house, a guest house, a pool house, a carriage house, an equestrian facility and fruit orchards.

Walks

The equestrian ranch, which is 23 acres, has everything you would expect from such a facility, including covered stalls, stables, spacious corrals, padlocks, and riding and exercise areas.

But it is missing one important thing: the horses, which, of course, it should house. Equestrian stables can fit up to a dozen horses!

While we know Oprah loves dogs, we’ll have to see if her love for animals also applies to horses. We wonder if she will one day fill the stables with horses.

Oprah’s Maui Estate

Oprah has many impressive multi-million dollar properties throughout the United States in addition to her main home in Montecito, one of which is her Hawaiian farm located in Maui.

When Oprah bought the 163-acre property, she paid $5.3 million, according to Architectural Digest, and it took a lot of work. The gray ranch was transformed into a 21st century country house and was completely renovated.

One of the highlights of the property is the wraparound terrace, making it the ideal space to sit and enjoy the panoramic views, including the horses on the hills surrounding the ranch.

“I love, love, love my house,” Oprah told Oprah.com about the Maui property. “It is a gem, so sweet and exquisite. Such a real and normal house. It feels like a nice blanket. A beautiful, soft cashmere.”

The 163 acres of land are a dream come true for Oprah and she has made the most of the land, establishing an entire garden, with tons of fruits and vegetables, including red cabbage, turmeric, beets, zucchini, kale, onions, cauliflower and corn.

You can bet she puts the produce to good use, cooking fresh meals for herself and Stedman! She even posts her impressive produce on her Instagram, captioning the posts #HarvestDay.

Looking to the future

Oprah lived the American Dream, from being born into a life of poverty to having one of the longest-running daytime talk shows in television history to becoming a self-made millionaire and owning several multimillion-dollar properties. Her life of hers is just amazing!

The Promised Land is nothing short of a fairy tale and is proof of how far Oprah has come. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for the talk show host, as well as the renovations she will continue to make to her extravagant and luxurious properties.
