The duo has recently collaborated for the Apple TV+ original The Family Plan. The movie follows a former assassin trying to protect his family while keeping his past a secret from them. Along with the 2023 action comedy, they have also collaborated for the upcoming adventure film Arthur the King. While Baltasar Kormákur was initially hired to direct the movie, he had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts.

“I love working with someone as good as Mark. I don’t want to sound like too much of a fanboy, but he’s a movie star for a reason. He’s also just utterly brilliant to work with. He’s fun, applied, and committed.”
He also recalled meeting the actor a few times but shared that working on The Family Man gave him the opportunity to know him much better. Talking about their upcoming movie, the filmmaker said that Arthur the King is a “slightly smaller movie.”

Jones even described him as the “hardest working man in showbiz,” claiming that the actor is really excited about making more movies in Las Vegas, where he has been working a lot lately. “He does all sorts of stuff like that. He is working a lot in the city of Las Vegas,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.

Jones shared that the Uncharted star is a “really easy” and “exciting actor to work with.” He also said that the 52-year-old actor always wants to give his best and has done the same for Arthur the King as well.
