Actress Jennifer Aniston and actor Brad Pitt’s relationship was undoubtedly one of the most talked-about relationships in Hollywood history.
They first met in 1994 but didn’t start dating until 1998. Their agents reportedly set them up. In 1999, the Fight Club star proposed to the Friends star. The two finally got married in July 2000 in Malibu.
However, their relationship only lasted five years as Aniston filed for divorce in 2005 because the actor was reportedly having an affair with actress Angelina Jolie at the time.
Jolie and Pitt became close during the filming of Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005). This could’ve been avoided if actor Will Smith did not turn down the role before it was passed onto Brad Pitt.
Will Smith
Not many people know that actor Will Smith almost played the role of John Smith in Doug Liman’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005). However, due to some issues, Smith opted out of the project. The creators initially wanted Will Smith or Johnny Depp for the role but Depp also declined the offer as he made other commitments.
Then, Brad Pitt came to their rescue and decided to play the part. Even for the role of Jane Smith, they wanted actress Catherine Zeta-Jones. However, even that didn’t work out and then Angelina Jolie agreed to play the part opposite Brad Pitt.

Over the years, fans claim that Will Smith could’ve prevented Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston’s split.
If the actor starred in the movie opposite Angelina Jolie, she wouldn’t get the opportunity to get close to Brad Pitt, who was married at the time. Pitt and Jolie reportedly met for the first time on the sets of the movie.
She provided the photographer with all of the information about the resort on the coast of Kenya where she was staying with Pitt. The paparazzi knew exactly what time the two would go to the beach and they managed to get a perfect shot that dominated the headlines.

The actor decided to end his marriage with Jennifer Aniston and started dating Angelina Jolie in 2005.
The two made their first public appearance later that year at the Cannes Film Festival. Over the years, they welcomed three biological kids and adopted three more kids.
They announced that they got engaged in April 2012. Two years later, they got married in a private wedding ceremony that took place in the chapel of Château Miraval.
However, things took a turn in September 2016 as Jolie filed for a divorce stating “irreconcilable differences.”
It was later revealed that the divorce came after Pitt allegedly physically and verbally abused her and their son, Maddox on their private jet. The FBI investigated the matter and Pitt was proven innocent.
