The 7-foot center needed to be airlifted to a hospital in Belgrade, Serbia, and was placed into an induced coma.
He broke bones in both his head and chest after the life-threatening accident.
Kuzmic, 33, needed surgery before he woke up from the coma – and was discharged from the hospital a week later.
He had just signed a contract to rejoin Crvena Zvezda after a two-year spell at Real Madrid.

And the Serbian made a full recovery from the injuries he suffered in the terrifying shunt.
Kuzmic has had a prolific career in Europe – winning 11 Serbian titles as well as the Euroleague.
But his crowning glory will always be the year he helped the Golden State Warriors to NBA glory.
Golden State selected him in the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft.
He moved over to the Bay Area in 2013 and earned his spot on the team after spells at D-League side Santa Cruz Warriors.
Kuzmic never managed to appear in any postseason games the year the Warriors won the title in 2015.
He played 40 times in all for Golden State, even if an ankle injury kept him away from the 2015 playoffs.
Kuzmic has extended his contract in Belgrade through 2025, and will be hoping to add to his accolades.
But helping Steph Curry and the Warriors start a dynasty in 2015 remains his crowning glory.
