According to reports, Kevin Hart has slammed controversial YouTuber Tasha K with a lawsuit, accusing her of extortion related to a recent interview. The lawsuit claims that representatives of Tasha K allegedly demanded ransom money from Hart to prevent the release of an interview containing sensitive information about him. In this interview, Hart’s former assistant, Miesha Shakes, makes several damaging allegations that could harm his reputation.

Despite legal warnings from Hart’s team against publishing the interview, Tasha K, whose real name is Latasha Kebe, proceeded to post several teasers on her Instagram and YouTube pages. Both Tasha K and Miesha Shakes are named in the lawsuit and may face serious legal consequences.

Tasha K, known for her celebrity gossip and controversial interviews, recorded an interview with Kevin Hart’s former assistant, Miesha Shakes, in November 2023. Her team allegedly contacted Hart’s team and threatened to release the defamatory interview unless Hart paid a ransom of $250,000. However, his team refused to comply and involved the police.

The comedian’s team alleged that the interview was illegal, considering the Non-Disclosure Agreement and Confidentiality Agreement signed by Miesha Shakes during her employment. Tasha K disregarded all legal warnings and went on to post teasers of the interview on her social media. She eventually released the interview on her subscription-based website on December 22.

According to Page Six, the 44-year-old actor’s lawsuit states that Tasha K made “false and defamatory statements regarding Hart”. The Jumanji actor is pursuing charges of extortion and invasion of privacy against Tasha K. He is suing Shakes for extortion, invasion of privacy, defamation, and breach of contract. Tasha K also faces the charge of intentional interference with contractual obligations.

Hart is seeking general and compensatory damages from the YouTuber and his former assistant, along with his legal fees. Hart’s lawsuit also accuses the YouTuber of creating “defamatory and otherwise improper content regarding celebrities.” Interestingly, Tasha K was recently found guilty in a defamation lawsuit filed by Cardi B and was liable to pay damages exceeding $3 million.

In another, she claims that she walked in on him with another female employee engaging in “something not good”.

The clips also discuss Hart’s alleged gambling problems and how he allegedly mistreated several people to evade legal issues. The statements represent a direct attack on the Fatherhood actor’s reputation. Tasha K even posted a cheeky caption stating, “…remember everything is alleged, even my name is allegedly!”
