In an interview on The Graham Norton Show, Wahlberg was with his Uncharted co-actor Tom Holland. The actor opened up about a guy his daughter was dating, whom he did not approve of. He felt he was not a nice guy and decided to meet him.

Wahlberg recalled telling his daughter,

“I want to meet this kid. You want to hang out with him, I want to meet him, and then you can hang out with him in a safe environment. She questioned me, ‘What’s a safe environment dad?’ and everything was this attitude.”

He shared that he had called up some of his buddies and geared up to corner the kid. However, he was left shocked when the guy came to meet him. Ted actor recalled,

“Suddenly this kid comes over, and he one-ups me, he brings his mom. He did one-up me, I was like ready. I had the whole thing.

I had a couple of my buddies, then all of a sudden we see his mom, and I’m like, hey so what do you do at school, do you have any extracurricular activities? Just like just completely slap me.”

Wahlberg wanted to make sure that his daughter stopped dating that guy but was unable to say anything in front of his mother.

“Genius thing is he’s so sweet, and she is like steamrolling me all the time, and then he’s like he’s seeing her like she’s being rude to me she’d be mean to him like if you’re not nice to him he might not want to be hanging around you and this isn’t this is a keeper this dude is really nice.”

Mark Wahlberg shared that wanted a nice guy for his daughter,

“He’s cool he went to the graduation she just graduated last week he went to the graduation with us he’s like really sweet I’m like okay well the perfect scenario is to find one boy well she’s with forever.”
