Marcus Rashford has 'issued response' to claims Man Utd want to sell him in this transfer window

Rashford has made his stance on a potential move clear.

Marcus Rashford has let Manchester United know his future plans amid recent transfer rumours.

After an impressive 30-goal season in 2022/23, Rashford failed to impress last season for United.

In 43 appearances for United in 2023/24, the Englishman scored just eight goals, with five assists.

And reports have suggested that Rashford and United may be set to part ways after the winger’s relationship with manager Erik ten Hag has soured.

But, new reports have said that the 26-year-old has told United that he wants to stay at Old Trafford this summer.

According to Football Journalist Henry Winter, Rashford has spent the summer ‘re-setting’ and getting himself fit as he hopes to stay with the club he loves.

Following his disappointing season, Rashford missed out on Gareth Southgate’s England squad for Euro 2024.

And instead of taking a break over the summer, Winter has suggested that Rashford has been training hard ahead of the upcoming season.

Having joined the youth academy at the age of seven, Rashford has spent nearly two decades with Manchester United and sees it as his boyhood club.

And just last summer, he penned a new £325,000-a-week deal with United, keeping him at the club until 2028.

Despite this, the club have not ruled out letting Rashford go this summer, over worries about his relationship with Ten Hag.

The pair clashed on multiple occasions last season, with the most notable coming in January after Rashford missed training due to ‘illness.’

It was later reported that the forward had been partying in Belfast, leading to the Dutch manager handing Rashford a fine of two weeks’ wages (£650,000) and dropping him for the FA cup victory over Newport County.

Should Rashford leave United this summer, Paris Saint-Germain appear to be the most likely destination, with the French champions reportedly interested in making a move for the Englishman after losing star player Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid this summer.
