Jose Mourinho is going head-to-head with Manchester United
Jose Mourinho is set to rival Manchester United for his next Fenerbahce signing.
The former Chelsea manager has wasted no time in strengthening his squad after being appointed as boss back in June.
Cenk Tosun arrived on a free transfer from Besiktas along with Allan Saint-Maximin on a season-long loan deal from Al-Ahli.
Their most expensive purchase of the window was Youssef En-Nesyri who joins for a fee in the region of £17m but Mourinho isn’t done yet and could be set to go head-to-head with Erik ten Hag for his next signing.

United are still in the market for a midfielder and have agreed personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain star Manuel Ugarte, though the two teams are yet to agree a fee for the Uruguayan.
Another man who remains on their shortlist is Fiorentina star Sofyan Amrabat who spent last season on loan at Old Trafford.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Mourinho is already interested in bringing the Moroccan midfielder to Turkey and the report adds Fenerbahce are confident of securing his signature.
Amrabat has just one year remaining on his contract and United rejected the opportunity to activate the clause to sign him permanently as they are believed to want to negotiate a different deal. He made 29 appearances in all competitions last season.

Speaking after winning the FA Cup against Manchester City, Amrabat admitted he didn’t know what his future holds.
“Do I already know what I’m going to do next year? No,” he told Ziggo Sports.
“We are going to talk. Staying is certainly an option. Look, I think it has been a very difficult season. For Manchester United, it needs to be much better, and also for me personally. We are going to talk. “Manchester United are the biggest club in the world, so who wouldn’t want to play football here? But all parties have to be happy with each other, so we will sit down now and see what happens.”
