Former Chiefs DT Khalen Saunders’ brother is one of the singer’s backup dancers.
The Kansas City Chiefs (4-0) look to remain undefeated when they take on the New Orleans Saints (2-2) on “Monday Night Football.” While the Chiefs offense is missing several key starters, they are still favorites to win in Week 5.
Former Chiefs defensive tackle Khalen Saunders, who signed a three-year, $12.3 million contract with the Saints in 2023, is excited to return to Arrowhead Stadium for the prime-time matchup.
Saunders knows it won’t be easy to stop Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Co., especially at home. However, Saunders will have at least one dedicated fan in the crowd. While the 28-year-old’s brother, Kameron Saunders, is one of Taylor Swift’s backup dancers on her “Eras Tour,” there’s no questioning his allegiance.
Even though Kameron shared the stage with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce during his surprise performance with Swift at Wembley Stadium in June, Saunders sent a clear message to his brother’s “boss” and the Chiefs before the matchup.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Saunders was asked which team his brother will be cheering for on Monday night.
“I mean, that’s his boss,” Saunders said of Swift, “but I’m his brother. I was here first.”
While the 14-time Grammy winner didn’t attend the past two Chiefs games, Swift is expected to return to Arrowhead Stadium for the game against the Saints.
“Hopefully, she’ll be there,” Saunders added.
While Saunders noted how his older brother was honored with a “key to the city in Kansas City,” blood is thicker than water.
“He’s going to be cheering for me because I’m paying for his ticket,” he said.
