Caitlin Clark may have been bounced from the WNBA playoffs on Wednesday, but the Indiana Fever rookie was able to set one final record before her rookie season came to a close.

Clark turned in a historic stat line in her team’s 87-81 loss to the Connecticut Sun on September 25, scoring 25 points to go with nine assists and six rebounds. Taking to social media after the game, the Fever noted it was a stat line no other rookie in WNBA history had accomplished.

“Caitlin Clark is the first rookie in WNBA history to have 25/5/5 in a playoff game,” the team noted in a post on X.

The WNBA also acknowledged Clark’s history-making finale, noting the accomplishment in its own post and sending a strong message to Clark.

“What a season for the rook,” the league shared in a post on X.

Clark set records throughout her rookie season, becoming the league’s single-season assist leader with 337 and setting the single-game assist mark with 19. She also become the first WNBA rookie to record a triple-double — doing it twice — and set records for both total points and three-pointers for a rookie.
